Hey, I’m Simon. Some people call me Santos and others call me Monsi. I was born and raised here in Houston, Texas. I’m a photographer and videographer.

My Journey: How did I get here?

I’ll tell you - I was never into cameras. I didn’t see myself as being photogenic, so was never the person in front of or behind a camera. Baseball was my true love. I started at the age of 3 and played until I was 25. Baseball was all I had ever known, it was my hobby; my passion. But in 2017, I was diagnosed with heart failure. It was the most difficult time in my life and it forced me to hang up my cleats. During my recovery, I picked up my first camera. The beginning was challenging, and I was not very good, but patience and determination made photography my new hobby. I worked hard and put every effort into getting the best image possible with every click. And now, here I am. I’m a survivor of heart disease who used to love playing baseball and now is an avid fan of cameras and the beauty and wonderment they capture. Over the past six years I have strived to perfect my craft as a photographer and, in the last two, have added videography to my portfolio. Cameras have become my passion and I’ve worked tirelessly to test new techniques and learn all that I can so that I can produce the best results for my clients.

I’d describe my work as sharp, polished, dreamy and timeless! I love to focus on getting the sharpest, detailed quality of image possible. I usually shoot outdoors, natural light was my best friend but off camera flash has taken over. I strive to perfect both! My favorite type of shoots are portraits and sports, but I like to take on any style/challenge which is why I work with all genres from: families, children, pets, couples, graduates, models, business owners, content creators, maternity and many more!
